The Department is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), meaning that the undergraduate program meets the highest standards. The teaching faculty include Dr. Steve Roach, who was awarded the University's top award, the Faculty Achievement Award for Teaching Excellence, in 2008.
